A fun project: build me a tone!

Alright gentlemen (and ladies?), I've got a project for us. Let's pretend we had a fair amount of cash sitting around. Nothing crazy, but a practical amount. What would you buy for your "ultimate tone" setup? We're talking specifics: Guitar make/model/year, pickups, stomp boxes, cables (if you feel they make a difference), amps, tubes, cabs, speakers: the works! State your genre as well, to give everyone an idea of where you're coming from.

I'll start:

Genre - Metal/Progressive

Guitar - Pre-factory PRS Custom, stock pickups

Stomp Boxes - Ibanez Tubescreamer, Boss Gigadelay & Flanger, Crybaby Wah, Morley Volume

Amp - Rivera Knucklehead Tre' w/ tubes by dougstubes.com

Cab - Mesa Boogie 4x12 w/ Vintage 30's

homeade Marshall 18 watt (model 1958) clone with 2 x 10s

I'd start with a custom Nashville Telecaster with an one piece ash body, quarter-sawn maple neck, 10-16" compound radius and jumbo 6100 stainless steel frets.... guitarfetish fatbody overwound Tele pups, and a hot strat pup in the middle.
I'd go into an electroharmonix black-finger tube compressor, then a BBE sonic stomp, then into a a/b/y box.... out from A-side -TS808, into a DD20 delay, then into a new AC30 with the Celestion blue speakers... out from A-side into a rat distortion, then into a dd20 delay, then into a marshal tsl60 head, then into a 4x12 cab with greenbacks.
The mics from these amps would go into a mixer at my side, where I would add reverb, and other time based effects if desired. The outputs of the mixer would go to FOH and to a set of JBL full range monitors at my feet, for monitoring my studio-like processed sound.

I'm just going to end up listing my own rig as I did have a significant amount of cash laying around a while ago and just bought all the stuff I wanted that I didn't already have...

Genre: Death/Trash/Extreme metal.

Guitar: My guitar (US '95 strat with a Seymour Duncan lil' screamin' demon mini humbucker on the bridge)

Stompboxes (although I don't consider these to be part of the tone): Boss DD3, Boss Flanger, Jim Dunlop Cry Baby, Tubescreamer (sometimes), the ring modulator I built years ago

Amp: My amp (Peavey 6505)

Cab: Marshall 1960 4x12

I am really happy with my tone. I'm not going to sit and say it's the dogs nuts, because it's a matter of opinion, but I am very happy with it.

For warm blues:

'64 Gibson ES-335 neck pickup into a '66 Ampeg SuperbReverb with the reverb just barely audible. No effects needed.

For less money try a Heritage H-355 with Fralin PAFs.

At lower volumes use a '60s Gibson Explorer amp. If you need more crunch add an Xotic AC Booster pedal.

For a really versatile rig send an American Strat through a '60s Blackface Deluxe Reverb. I'm not a Strat guy so I would use a G&L ASAT Special through this amp.

The thing sounds exactly the way I want it to so I can't complain. And the guitar I have that does have full humbuckers in it sounds like ass. Not that I'm saying that full humbuckers sound like ass of course. Just the ones in that guitar

Genre - '80s Hair Metal / Glam Rock

Guitar - Gibson Les Paul Standard with stock PUs and Fender Strat with hot single-coils (DiMarzio or Seymour Duncan)

Stomp Boxes - Ibanez Tubescreamer or Boss DS-1 (depending on the song), Boss reverb, delay, compressor and chorus pedals, MXR phaser, Dunlop CryBaby Wah, any volume pedal

Amp - Marshall JCM800 2203 w/ TAD tubes or Marshall Silver Jubilee 100W head

Cab - Hiwatt Custom 4*12 with Fane speakers or Mesa Recto cab with V30s

amp: Fender Twin Reverb (with my custom Eminence speackers)

effects (in order): Super Cry Baby (wah/vol), Hao Rust booster, Zvex Box of Rock, Keeley modded Boss sd1, ehx russian muff pi, george dennis distorted mind, Line 6 echo park delay, TC electronics nova modulation, BBE sonic stomp
(lets not forget the reverb and vibrato on the amp itself)

Styles of music: I think this can cover almost all of 'em, mostly rock, blues, maybe metal. I usually play praise and worship at church. This is my current setup on my SKB pedalboard (once my Mira ships).
