Hey guys, Im new, I am the happy owner of Marshall Tsl 100 and 1960a cab

Guitars I use

Guitar A.
Fender Stratocaster Tunning: Standard E
Fretboard Wood: Maple
Pick ups Bridge: Single Coil
Middle: Single Coil
Neck : Single Coil

Guitar B.
Gibson SG Tunning Drop D

Problem!

I am convinced that I can get a killer, some what thick tone from my strat. I have been experimenting with string guages i am going to use a hybrid heavy bottom but instead of a .52 im using a .46, (seem to have better sustain up on the neck with the 46). Now I know having a maple fret board is gonna make my tone bite alot more.....but im absolutly in love with this guitar, and I know its possible to find the tone i want i just need some advice. The pickups are the original stock fender installed. I look at the magnets and they appear to be rusting. Should they be replaced? If so what kind of pick ups to you recomend, I would love a tight low end response with increased output, to really give my guitar some Balls...humbuckers and rails are out of the question, I would end up with a tone alot everyone else...

Secondly, Any TSL Settings you players have out ther for the channels would be greatly appreciated

Thanks alot

Can you post clips of what your tone sounds like now?

Are you against putting a humbucker or a mini-humbucker in the bridge position? I would suggest a sort of medium output (nothing real hot) to keep a thicker sound and cut down on the bite. Seymour Duncans? maybe a mini JB.

Yea, the humbucker really isnt an option, im really going for a tone that no one has so much, everyone these days, is using a humbucker and teh tones are coming out alot a like, as far as clips go, I dont know how to get them on here, i would have to say, teh tone is like a cross between Jade from AFI and Dave Grohls tone....both those guys use humbuckers though
