Can anyone direct me towards a good loop station.I had the Boss RC20--aside from the crap sound quality I found this pedal very user unfriendly.I know they have come out with the RC50...I also know there are other options out there.I basically am looking for something that I can take on stage as a solo act--play a round or progression,(maybe play another round over that) then play leads over...
I didn't really know where to post this question...heheh thanks...

I have the new Digitech JamMan and like it a lot. Since it uses Compact Flash cards, you can have hours of recording time and you can pop the card out and drag the loops (they are .wav files) to your computer or load .wav files from your computer to the looper. You have 100 slots for loops. The sound quality is very good - basically transparent. Others have commented on how good the sonic quality is. The only caveat I have run into that Boss may do better is that when you stop a loop it doesn't fade out - it just cuts out. So for live you have to be really careful about what you play coming out of the loop or it can sound strange. Getting into a loop is seamless.

Thanx gentleman!!I was looking at Electro harmonix especially---is that the new model they were coming out with? Those look very nice---I don't care if they're pricey...but are they decent?I will look into the Digitech too--which would be easier to use on stage- this is the major concern I have...

a bit of a late reply.

+1 for the digi jamman on the simplicity and sound quality front. Get the footswitch as well...its worth it for live work.

the rc50 is more difficult to master.
