A/D converters!?!

I'm looking for A/D converters with 6 to 8 XLR inputs (so I can hook up all of the drum mics). I will be recording to my computer. I haven't had much luck finding anything on the typical musicians websites. I'd like to get one for less than $500 if that's possible. Can anyone point me in the right direction, or possibly offer an alternative to this solution?
 
I think the Aardvark card is the only one with that many built in preamps but I could be wrong.
