Rock Steady
hehehehe. jus kiddin, I felt a buzz an thought I`d fish for a giggle or two!! :D

lol...

I would actually like to hear that though. I got sick of the song when it was out, but it would be funny to hear covers of that song. Maybe that can be the next contest - everyone covers Achy Breaky Heart...:D:D

(sad part is I could probably sing it pretty well :D:D)

shhhh, dont tell anybody, but I actually liked it for such a simple tune... I just wish it had been a b side or something when it was released.

:)

it was a cool ass riff, and could easily be rocked out good....too bad the lyrics sucked......

if you change it too "Achy Breaky Hard" or "Achy Achy Balls" and have it be about blue balls but im sure someone has thought of that already....

I wish I had written it...the choice between the 1010lt or nearfields wouldn't be an issue ;) :D

Hmmm...maybe we can come up with the next one.

Don't tell my ass
My wigggly jiggly ass... :D

I have a story about Achy Breaky that is worth telling. The guy who wrote the song--Don Von Tress--wrote for the same publishing company that I did, so I got to talk to him many times and became priveliged to hear how it all came about.

Don had been writing songs and making trips to Nashville for 11 years without having even a cut. Fortunately for him, he was persistent. One day, the guy who ran the publishing company--Russ Z-- took his wife, who played bass, Don, and a drummer to their demo studio and they cut this loose track of the song. Well, Russ was convinced this song was a monster hit. The demo was sloppy as hell--almost punkish in attitude--but it had the feel. I actually like it better than the real record.

He began to take it around to the labels and they all turned it down. RCA threated to throw him out if he ever came there with another song like it! Well, through some in house connections, there were two producers working on a new act--Billy Ray Cyrus--and they wanted to give the song a go. The rest, as they say, is history.

Don became a millionare and paid off his farm. What a great guy he is too. Just goes to show, good things happen to people who don't give up. Like a lot of people, its not my favorite song, but do I wish I had written it? You bet!

You are the man AL,
I like hearing stories like that.

Toki,
Now that I think about it, you really ought to funk that bad boy out with your bad self. Your style of music might just be the ticket. I'd like to hear it.

You workin graveyard again?

perhaps a heavy version of the song would work well too?

or maybe even one drowning in synths?

(cool story crawdad)

Cool story Crawdaddy.Your life experiences(and the stories resulting from those experiences) fill a void around this place.I wish I had written that tune myself.I could use the mulah.:D

yep, Lotsa people forget that recorded music is ALL about the listener, not the performer. Sometimes it dont take much to evoke and get a valid emotional response from the listener, which according the rules of music theory, is what your after. That tune is a prime example. :) Cool, Crawdad
