a couple of questions

Hey, I am looking for a way to use multiple sound modules simultaneously. My set up is a hardware sequencer, a sampler, a sound module and a drum machine. The problem that I have is that none of these pieces have a midi thru except the sound module. What I want to know is, is there some piece of equipment that I can get in which I can plug the MIDI out from the sequencer and connect it to the MIDI ins of the sampler, module and drum machine? Basically, something that would take in the MIDI information of the 16 channels and distribute the info out through individual MIDI outs.

I also have another two questions.
1) what is a MIDI patchbay, and is it what I have described above?
2) what is a MIDI timepiece and also, does this do what I have described above?
