Here are a couple more Acoustic guitar clips that I laid down the other night testing out my Studio Projects B3 & C1 mic's.

These clips are kind of choppy as we were moving mic's durring the playing, but they are non-Eq'd, and basically what you hear is what you get...

I'm interested in any comments or suggestions you guys may have on these as well (in light of the B1 clips I posted the other day)

Here is the links to the clips:

What can I say :eek: I'm impressed. I didn't expect those mics to sound that real. What kind of guitar were you playing by the way? Just curious.

Sorry, I forgot to add the rest of the info....

Signal Chain: Taylor 800 series guitar ---> SP B3 & C1 ---> DMP-3 ---> Delta1010 ---> AA 1.5

I don't recall the mic placements exactly all though I know we started out by having the mic facing the bridge and the body/neck joint........then started moving around a bit. .... If you listen real closely in the first clip about 22 seconds in you can hear me hit the phase switch on the DMP-3 :P

I was originally not going to use these for a demo of the mics, but after listening to them agian I thought they sounded better for some reason??

Oh well, enjoy!

Wow man...thats some awesome sound! So did you record the guitar strums using the two mics together? Looks like the DMP3 served you well!:D

Yep.......like I said, we were moving the mics all over the place at one point, and recorded about 7 different clips.........and honestly I wasn't paying attention to the placements at that time as we were just messing around trying to get a "good" sound........

But, I think that these had the mic's straight out from the body/neck at the Bridge and the body/neck joint about 12" and were recorded at the same time.

I also have a couple of Studio Projects VTB-1 pre's that I wanted to use, but I ran out of time.........maybe next week.......with some fresh strings (the strings were totally shot and dead :( )
