A Christmas gift for all you musical websurfers

I've been amassing quite a collection of web links over the last year. I thought that it was time I post them for those of you who are just starting out. Even if you have been doing recording for awhile, I'm sure you will find some useful info within them. Because my interests (and day job) relate to PCs, most of my links relate to hardware / software. However I think you will find a bit of everything in here, including a few that really aren't music related but may be useful to you anyway.

Because I have so many links, and because this site limits attachments to only 100K, I have to split the links up into 4 zip files. To use them, simply unzip the files into your "Favorites" directory. In Win 2000 / XP you will find this under the "Documents and Settings" folder, in Windows 98 it's inside the Windows folder.

This link contains info on (non-musical) software, includeing quite a bit of Operating System info; web-based reference tools, and search engines

And lastly this collection of links includes computer hardware info, sources for software drivers of all kinds, misc computer info sources, and computer retailers. I apologize that some of the retailers may be Detroit-based, but most sell via web or mail order as well.
