A challenge using limited gear... sort of.

Okay, I'm new here, rather inexperienced and I came with a question...

How would you record a three-piece band with limited gear? This is the problem I'm facing at the moment. Obviously, recording each of the instruments separately is a no-brainer, but I'm wondering how I should do the setup with the mics...

Here's what I have:
2 singstar microphones
1 black microphone similar to the singstars in quality and connector (1/8" jack)
1 SM58
1 AKG Perception 220

Also, additional information - I wouldn't want to record the bass DI as the bassist uses distortion.
The singstar microphones are the only paired set of microphones and I'm leaning towards using them for drum overheads. Having tested, it doesn't sound too bad.
I have the ability to record 4 tracks separately - no more than that however.

How would you go about recording guitar, drums and bass given this set of microphones? Hmm...

Quite a challenge. I would try out different mic positions. I have No Way of knowing how it will end up sounding... Do you have a mixer? What recorder do you have?

This reminds me of a Tascam Portastudio setup XD.

I've got an Alesis Multimix 4 USB which records in stereo... I do however have a headphone splitter which allows me to record the two singstar microphones separately on another computer. And luckily I have two computers to record with. Obviously, the Alesis has more inputs, but only records in stereo. That's why I can only record four separate tracks. I could record five, but then some tracks would be stuck together.

What I'm thinking right now for drums is the SM58 in the bass drum, the Black microphone on the snare and the two singstars as overheads. For bass (the amp I'm using has a 15" speaker and tweet), I'm not sure what I should do... for guitar, I'll mic one speaker with the 58 and mic the room with the 220. Or mic the amp from slightly afar... Does that sound decent as a starting point?

I've already recorded decent lo fi with just the perception 220 and one single singstar mic. I'm thinking this could be quite a step up haha... but after reading a few posts on this forum, I've learned how much you all value the hi-quality gear. But sadly, I'm not in a position to buy any of that. Budget=$0 Ha!

Amps, guitars and cymbals and drums are all decent, and vocals are no problem with the perception 220. Just need some good dynamic mics really...
