A Beat I made. Total Noob.

I made this beat. But I'm not satisfied. And I'm not sure if I'm doing the right things in FL.
I want to know what I'm doing all. But I don't know where to start
Any advise? o:


 
Hmmm it's really basic. Throw another melody in there with a different instrument(s) to change it up a little. I'm thinking this is just a sample of a verse and maybe a hook. Drums are lacking too. Might want to experiment with different sounds to add into the drums to fatten it up.
