Hi, this is probably real easy to fix, please help me!

so i record something on track 1, next, i want to record track 2.

so, i want to be able to listen to track 1 in my headphones, and play over the top to track 2...right?

how come when i'm recording track 2, with track 1 in my headphones, whenever i play, i can't play along to track 1, because any sound i make just blocks out the sound in the headphones..

i hope this makes sense, i really need some help.

thanks..

You need to have all the Playback-side level controls turned all the way off,...

on all tracks that you're not listening back to for cue.

In this example, make sure Track 1's playback volume is up all the way, and tracks 2, 3 & 4 are all the way down. This should prevent any double boost loudness you get. If that's not adequate, try turning down the input on the Trim control a moderate amount.

With proper adjustment of the input/output levels, you should be able to hear the live input with the cue tracks mixed together in the phones, and still get a proper amount of gain recorded to the tape tracks.

wow thanks...that's the basic idea i had too, i'll try it out tomorrow to confirm it works, it seems the most logical thing to do.

wow, people really help here..!
thanks!
