here's a drum mix that i recorded. the mp3 quility is not as good as it should be but i'm working on that now. i used 3 mics. (2 overheads and a kick) i used a room revurb on the drums. the cymbals was ziljain(hi-hats,crash)sabian(12"splash)pastie(10"splash) and (i hate to admit it) a camber 20" ride(i was supprised by the sound though).

the drums was made by dw/parcific (but the snare was a vintege 70's slingerland snare drum)

i used a fostex vf-16 16 track recorder to record it all.

remeber.....i'm only 13 so,........please go easy!

Oh, it's at his house. You gotta swing by and check it out, though. It totally rocks!

The drum sound are a little "absent" to my ears.
There's a definite lack of punch... as well as a lack of anything else.
Everything sounds a little empty.

On the plus side, you've really created a great sense of "space".

This has got to be a first!! Mics were exactly 180 degrees out of phase with each other and cancelled EVERTHING out. How'd you do that? :D :D :D :D

Beginner's luck?

C'mon, Zeke. Post a link and let us hear. The suspense is killin' us.

lol, we definately got some comedians in the group here...haha

Hey Zeke, no probs with the sound!
What mics did you use?
All I'd say is, practise a lot with a click track in your ear, that will keep things steady.

thanks! the mics are.......

sm57(overhead)
beta 52(kick)
v-tech nd series(overhead)
