Howyadoin,

I've been running my 2 Delta 1010s at 44.1KHz with no problem. Recording and playback, even with all 16 inputs working, is excellent using Cubase SX 1.02 under WinXP. I tried to change the sampling rate to 96KHz, and recording seems OK, but playback sounds like a monster blast of static with a faint trace of my signal in there. Any ideas? The hardware is all good; P4 2.4GHz, Intel 845 chipset, 512 MB PC2700, WD JB-series hard disk... Like I said, everything's cool with 44.1, and tracking looks perfect in the mixer at 96, but when I go to playback it's all messed up...

Usually these soundcards are not truly meant for 96Khz, all they do is some real time convertion to adapt to 96Khz. That static means they can't handle it :p Be careful with that static, they are gonna tear your ear drums one day. If you try to run teh song from starting to end without any disturbance they will work, If you try to jump from ne part of the osng to other, teh card wont handle the conversion. Stick on to 44.1 or 48 Khz.
