8 track Digital Recorder with External Effects Option

Hi i am looking to buy a new or secondhand 8 track recorder. I like the look of the Fostex MR-8 track but i do not think it will allow you add an external effects unit. Could anyone please suggest a good 8 track that is not too exspensive, around £200 to £300 pounds. At the moment i am using an old Fostex 4 track that has an sync in and Aux out so that i can connect my effects unit up by using a normal size jack plug 6.3mm and two 3.5mm jacks going into my 4 track into the Aux out and Syn in phono connections.

Also i am after a good microphone for under £100 pounds, i have normally gone for shure microphones and again will go for something second hand if i can bring the cost down.

Just check out the Yamaha AW1600 multitracker. It has everything you need right in the unit. No need to buy an "exturnal" unit. The Yam has lotsa verberb and effects and etc.

Sound on the unit is very good.
