Right now I have a Delta 44 and a Behringer mixer. To get 4 tracks simultaneously, I pan tracks 1 and 2 on the mixer to left and right. For tracks 3 and 4 on my mixer, I push in the "Alt 3/4" button and pan them left and right. This allows me to separate the tracks in Cool Edit Pro 2 and record 4 at a time. Now, that Digi audio interface says it has 8 in/outs. Something about "ADAT" blah blah blah too. Does that mean I can pan like I am doing now and get 16 mono tracks?

Thanks for your help!

8 in/out is mono channels. Or 4 stereo channels...

So, to answer your question, no.

Ah yup. That would be a "no."

I'm really curious about your reasoning...

2 + 2 =4

Therefore 4 + 4 = 16!
