I Use a MOTU 828 mkII and i am looking to expand 8 More Channels To Convert The EZDrummer MIDI Files To Audio.
And that way i can let the MOTU Inputs free for my other Preamps.

I had the Behringer ADA8000 Which was a Crappy Sounding Unit.Which do You Recommend?

1.-Presonus Digimax LT,FS,D8
2.-Motu 8 Pre
3.-M-Audio Octane

1.-Presonus Digimax LT,FS,D8

I have and like the Octane. Clean, unassuming pres (basically DMP3 pres with a bit less gain). Can't compare it to the others though--never used them.

The 8Pre has the advantage of being able to be used as a standalone FireWire interface. Assuming this is a FireWire 828MKII, you should be able to use one set of MOTU FireWire drivers to control both of them and you'll just suddenly have 8 more analog inputs and 8 more ADAT inputs. Also, you'll have the advantage of being able to record at 88.2/96 kHz if you decide to do so.

On the flip side the Octane has the advantage of being able to be used as a standalone analog preamp (analog outs) if you have a need for that.

So basically, it depends on what you're doing. I wouldn't expect either set of preamps to set the world on fire, but either one should be dramatically better than the ADA8000. No opinion on the Presonus.

I was going to suggest the motu 2408 mkII... they're cheap enough... they support 24/96 and just about any format you want in and out of your computer... you shouldn't need pres for your drum sounds... though I'm not exactly sure why you're going to audio on those tracks. this would take care of your immeadiate need on the cheap, and give you tons of flexibilty for future purchases... give it a look

Thanks For All the Responses!
i Can't Add Eq From The Ez Drummer Software ,so I Have to convert the MIDI Files to Audio ,That way i can Add EQ to Each Channel (Kick,Snare,Toms etc...) But i get notice that the Motu INS.Outs are a Little Noisy.

I never had an issue with noise on the 2408... there are no pres in this box... handles, TDIF, ADAT, and line level... I honestly think every studio should own one of these just for the format conversion... (you never know what will get thrown your way)...

And why don't you just keep the audio in the box, and eq with plugins? You'd skip the extra conversion in and out...
