Well Dan, if ya did that in an inebriated state, I would hate to hear whacha can do sober! Sounds awesome Bro. If it were me, and I still got drunk, my new Fostex VF-160 would swallow me whole, Bro!

I'm not an acoustic player by any means, but I did get a Yamaha FG421 on trade awhile back and this toon makes me wanna go get the hollow axe and mic it up and record an acoustic Blues toon on the Fostex. ;)

Nice work Bro! Inebriated or not...

caught me at the right time with this one.. cool tunz..

Same here! whew, dtb that was some mighty fine pickin there dude. Had a nice mood to it, acoustic sounds great. Loved the outro...shit kickin!

sounds like late summer afternoon right before sunset, down an old country road at the old house place. A breeze fanning the leaves in the hickory. Old yellow cat on the porch watching everything. Fall might come right on time this year...

very pretty, I could almost see the grain in the wood..

Wow...nice stuff.

A) I wish I could get my guitar to sound that good

B) I wish I could play it that well.

Very enjoyable :)

Me thinks I need to get drunk and play more:D :D

 But, that never converts well to recordings with me, the grey light of dawn always shows my ineptitude.

thanks for the groovy, mellow mood

A little out of tune, but who can tune when they've been drinking?

Do ya think they will ever make a guitars that can stay in tune when you bend the strings. That's something that only the pros know for sure.

Very nice, very up front sounding recording. Sounded like it was right in the room, this may be the sound of true reproduction, just speculating.

Very nice dtb!!

Thanks for the listen dudes. And I must say, I was sick as shit Thurs. morn. Haven't been that hungover in a while. I didn't get to feeling better until late afternoon.

Axe, thanks man, is the FG421 a red label. Those Yam. are nice guitars. I'm looking at an old '70 model classical, if I can get the dude to sell it.

B., thanks. I'm glad you were in the right time.

pw., thanks, I use my v67 mic. Love that mic. Put it right there in front about 2 feet. Sounds super in the cans.

David, thanks, this is a little ditty that I did last year, and it was the first thing I recorded on my 788. Just thought I'd do it again with just guitar.

Damn Toki, you are a poet. Thanks.

Jag., thanks. Don't kid yourself, I've listened to your tunz. Glad you enjoyed this one.

theron, that's always a crap shoot. After I "got well", I went down and listened to this again, and was suprised.

GT, don't know man. To me, it's always hard to tell about exact tuning when using the condensers with the Martin. So much ring. I normally start out in tune. he he he he. The mic, and recorder seem to do the sound justice. If I ever learn how to work it all I'll be happy. I just love to hear the acoustic in the cans. Thanks.

thanks agin for the listen.

You should get drunk more often. When I get drunk, I think it sounds better than usual, unless I record it and listen to it the next day. In your case, it sounds better. Or maybe not. Maybe when you're not drunk, you're SHIT HOT! Post us a sober tune, so we can find out. :D

I love music like this. Quiet late night stuff that you can let yourself listen right into. Chopin did some piano pieces called Nocturnes that do the same thing. You've done a blues nocturne for guitar.

A bit too much mic on the bass end of the guitar? But a nice sound. New strings on the guitar?

Nice one. Really liked it.

dobro, you know, that's a good point. I might just try doing something completely sober. The only thing is if I do it in the basement, I'll get contact high from just being there. he he he. And it's really hard not to be a little bassy with the Martin. And yeah, strings a couple days old. thanks for the listen.

dtb,

I was thinking about being out of tune.

How it's hard to tune whein your drinking.

I also have trouble tuning, when people are waiting for me to play, and even then I don't do as good a job as I would if I were alone.

Anyway you look at it, tuning is a bitch!

So I started a thread in guitars on the subject, check it out.

Gonzo seems to have some good thoughts on the subject.

Once again, great playing, and thanks for spawning a new thread.

wonder if'in you could put one of them thangs on an acoustic. he he he he he

Too bad my first listen was in the morning. This would be a perfect last song before going to bed after a late night. You definetly captured a moment here. Good stuff.

If it's out of tune it's not enough for me to notice.

thanks south, me either. maybe a little but when I'm picking I don't seem to notice.

Maybe I should reconsider having quit drinking. Honey! Get me mah Likker!

don't do it bro, it ain't worth it. I've been doing it a long time.
