I just recorded this clip of my '73 Vibro Champ running into my 1x12 open-cab loaded with a 4 ohm 12" Celestion V-30. I really pushed the amp into overdrive by setting the volume at 7 1/2 , Treble at 8 1/2 and the Bass at 2. I did this clip to a slow backing track. Here's the link.

One word.......................................

Spank-o-sparkle-iscious!

I love your clips. This one is great as usual. I still struggle to get those tones with my Fender amps. (More of a Marshall guy, but seroiusly dig Fenders.) Keep up the flow. :)

Thanks buddy.:D

I have been learning more about different amp tones from you, than anyone here...just by listening to your songs using different amps on the same song. Some have very subtle differences while others are more easily heard.

Thanks Tex...you have a beautiful collection.

True:)

Thanks True, your kind words mean alot.:D

You are welkom Tex. I do mean it though. I am not too sharp when it comes to these things and usually need a picture drawn for me.:D..so I do appreciate your postings of the different amp tones...plus I get to listen to some awesome playing. You remind me of another guitar player, in the sense of HOW he played....feasting on every note as if it were food for the soul....B.B. King. ;)

these samples are awesome! Im sending them to some plugin designers as "reality check"

Damn thats cool. That champ sure sounds sweet but your hands have a lot to do with that I think.

Wow TEX!!!!!!
A very impressive amp collection. Even more impressive is your playing. I listened to your amazing clips and just gotta say that you-da-man. Guess I won't post the one of me rockin out thru my Pignose GV40 lol.

Great sounds and playing there, you can't beat a Fender's natural overdrive-and you sure have a fantastic amp and guitar collection!:D

Thanks for the props chazb. I don't think I'm -da-man, but just a small chihuahua barking amongst alot of Big Bull Dogs. I'm just trying to get heard brother.:D

I think it was particularly cool of you to put the backing tracks up there.

It'll give me something to jam to, with my all-original 64 1/2 Vibro Champ.

Thanks!.
