64 bit and 32 bit versions compatability?

I walk the line
If I ran Reaper on 2 different machines, one Vista 64 and one XP Pro (32bit), would the files created be compatable? I'm thinking of using one for tracking, and maybe using another for mixing. Don't ask why, I've got my reasons. I just want to know if this is do-able.
