What does THIS button do?
Does anyone do any recording with these? I played on one for a few minutes at a buddys house, not tuned or anything, and it didn't sound bad. I like the way it doesn't have much decay and it's really fast. If you have sound clips I'd love to hear them...

I use one.. i have a tama something or other and also a mapex black panther in the same size.

GREAT for live... studio use SO FAR hasn't been all that great, no depth to them - just sounds like a 'crack' with no body to it.

I'll try and post some clips in the next few days. I'd be intrested to know if anyone has had any good results with smaller snares.

if you really want a good sound on that size you might wanna try a pork pie 6x10, they sound really nice, you can listen to a recording of them on this website www.indoorstorm.com

shiit $485 retail? I think I can prolly get a pacific 805 snare like that for like 100 or less. It does sound cool though. I think I would tune mine a little differently though.
