I decided to sell my old electric drumset and I am using that money to expand on my equipment. I will be able to get 500 dollars for the set so that is my budget.
What I have:
VF160
guitars,basses,drum set, amps, ect...
and one mic(Nady starpower)
monitors
headphones(all those accesories)

I know I need some mics but, does anyone else have any ideas on what else i should get?

the mics I wanna get over time is:
SM57 for guitar/snare
Marshall MXL V67G for vocals
Oktava Mk012 for overheads and acoustic guitar
B-1 for toms and some vocals
Countryman Di box for bass
AKG D112 for bass drum

So what should I do? Just buy all those mics or buy some mics and maybe something else i need?

Thanks for any help

You can never have enough mics.....especially if your micing everything you record.

virtual shopping with your money!

good tracking monitors and amp setup....
Monitors $250
Power Amp $ 150-100

mics first

so mics first?

you read up on the Studio Projects B1...recommended ok, most posts here, so i bought one and am very pleased with it. $79.

SM57 is a workhorse.

I think music style has a lot to do with the equipment needed (or sound your searching for)...
Rap, Bluegrass, Heavy Metal....

I only stuff I am going to be recording really is punk rock(hard stuff... more like blitz) and indyish stuff. so i think the equipment will work for both.. i think.
as for now... the mics I am buying are just the best i could find for the budget I am on...

If anyone wants to recomend a good mic for what I am doing please comment.
