I loved the orig film clip & I wore out the LP.
You do Iggy well mate. How tall are you?
The guitars sound a just a little thin.
Terrific fun & very good cover.
As someone 2 1/2 " taller than the narrator I feel BIG after listening.

As far as I'm concerned, Iggy is the most important figure in rock and roll.

Great cover choice. Good job on it.

Great cover for sure! Reminded me a little about a Sonic Youth approach to Iggy but with a little more rockish guitars. Would love to hear you make a cover of "I wanna be your dog" :)

Dammit I was gonna do that one.

Thanks guys...Greg,Iggy does in fact rule the wasteland that was once Rock and Roll...in my top 5 fer sure!
Ray, I agree about Guitars...carved a little to much low end outta them me thinks...will fix it...and Im actually 6ft 3 so yeah, its a bit of a "stretch" for me to cover this one....bwahahaha....

Dainbramage,I can dig the sonic youth drop...I think I may be adding some crazy feedback type thing at the end that may add to that vibe a bit , and the Band Im trying to put together now actually is doing I wanna be your dog...here is a live practice recording:
SoundClick artist: Flog The Frog - This is a site for my various music projects......my one man band thing were I do all vocals guitars

Effing brilliant!! I really like your style. If you want the Sonic Youth sound don't forget abusing the guitar with drumstick and if you can afford it, floors :D

Ha...cool man, glad ya dug it...I'm going thru a pretty big Iggy/Stooges phase lately....brilliant stuff .....thanks for listening!

Agree on the thinner sounding gits ... actually bass could come up too -- but other than that, very close to done, and it's done well.

Never heard the original so I can't compare - I will say that this is well played and recorded. Nice and tight!

Thanks for listening Kev...going to work on those guitars this weekend, agree they are lacking in depth/crunch..

Growing up in Detroit area...this song recieved a lot of airplay in the late 70's/early 80's...so was kind of a lost classic for me ...thanks for checking it out and the good word...appreciate it!

Did a little work on this one today, tried to fatten up the guitars, as well as get a little more over all thump into the mix....also tweeked the vocals a little to try and make them a little clearer...
The link at the top of thread plays new mix , or click here:

Only heard the second mix, but all sounds good to my ears now queepy. I don't know the original, but Sonic Youth doing the Stooges sounds like a good place to be.
