hey mix,
Thursday morning isn't to bad for the "boys" since they work real jobs. They only get half baked, cause their little girlie asses got to go to work. "tears in dtb's eyes". I, on the other hand, sill go in at 6:30am. But the difference is, I don't give a shit! It's just freaking 147 acres of grass to cut. he he he he. And of course I don't half to drive home either, so light up another one, my friend, and pass the whisky now.
Ah, the bass? well that's my fault all the way. I tried a few times to double up on a track, but can't seem to control it. And these guys hate mics. I mean, they hate mics. They don't like cans either. So there you go. I tried to let the bass just bleed in. we could hear it fine live. It sounded pretty good in my cans (used cans to try and get things level). But you know how tring to do this stuff "live" with the 424mkIII, and 4 mics can be. shit man, it even surprises me, cause I'll peek at the meters every now and again, and just kinda go, shit. So the bass suffers. Sometimes I'll go back and put bass on at mixdown. If I sent the bass to a track by it self some other instrument will suffer.
That's one reason for getting the 788. Should arrive Tues., Wed. Two more tracks to work with should be fun.
You know, the guys just love the cd I mixed down. I make them all copies and they kiss my feet. It does sound good, to my ears, listening through the monitor system real loud. And since I know nothing about mixing, and they know nothing about it either, it works just fine. he he he he he he he
thanks for the listen,
more to come,
dtb
