48k vs. 96k

I haven't had the experience but i think we all have since a lot of stuff on the radio that was done digitally, was done 96k. There are several scientific explanations why
it sounds better. Because you are recording 96k, the freq response is up to 48k which means the filter that cuts out inaudibles right up to 22k can be very gentle and less obtrusive. At 44.1, the curve of the aliasing filter is almost straight because the freq response is to 22.05 and cut back to 20k. The steep filter causes small imperfections in the sound.
