488 MKII -- LIVE SOUND MIXER??

I am contemplating purchasing a 488 mkII and would to replace my 12 Ch mixer and record a live band. However i also need to maintain an excellent live sound mixer for gigs. Does anyone else use their 488 for this.

The 488MkII's mixer has only 2 XLR inputs, and 2 more 1/4" mic inputs. This makes it almost completely useless for live sound applications, unless of course you're only using 2 channels, or 4 channels and happen to have 2 impedance adapters.

Basically, no, the 488MkII isn't very useful for live sound mixing.
