I was wondering if the 8 track master from my 488mkII will play om my friend's 688. Will the tracks line up correctly? does anyone know?

I'm not sure,But a 4 song demo we did on a 488MK11 played perfectly on my tascam 238. My guess would be it would play fine.Hopefully someone else can add to this

yea, the 3 machines are completely compatible, if you download the product info pdf file from tascam about the 488mkII it says that in one of the sections.
