Hello everybody.

I am now a proud owner of a 414 mkII. Im pretty much ok playing using it apart from connecting it to my cpt.

I have a fairly new version of cubase (on its way), a cd re-writer, and a very good sound card - xp, if that helps. what do i need to connect my 414 and finally get something on cd? (cables, extra programs etc?)

Any help would be very much appreciated. Mez of Manchester.

You need to connect the stereo line outs to the line in on your soundcard to start with.

You can use this for your line in source ( or to record a stereo mix <4min time limit>)

You can use this to record tracks longer then four mins ( with the lp recorder as your line source ), can also add effects and so on with it as well as mix down to wave files.

Last you can use this to put a bit of shine on your mixed down wave files. It has a 15 day trial limit, so wait untill you have a ton of tracks before your download it.

Past that you just have to get the line out from your tascam to your PC, can use a RCA to minijack adaptor by default. If you have better connections use those.
