Ok i don't think i've seen this one on the forum before ....
Lets look at the pros and cons of each of these interfaces ...
The Mackie offers 4 great pres 2 of which can be used as instrument inputs ....4 inserts ....4 balanced line ins and 8 balanced line outs ...and 2 cue line outs for monitoring ..... it also has an sp / dif in and out ... u can also have 2 headfone monitors
for another few pounds / $ you can get the Fireface - 4 mic pres 8 line ins 8 line outs 2 adats sp/ dif in and out , insturmuent input and headfone output ...

at this moment in time i really want the fireface ...but it costs a lot of money ...if the mackie can do the same job i'll go for it as it is a little less expensive
