I'm sorry that this is probably the hundredth time someone's asked about this, but I was definitely going to get a Rode NT1, and have heard that there are big differences when spending up to $400 on a mic. Are there huge advantages to using an NT2 over the NT1?(advantages worth $200?)

Is there anything better at that price range?

It's primarily for recording acoustic guitar and vocals.

thanks a lot everyone

Please please please please, with sugar on top, please read the quadzillion posts on this subject and I'm sure you'll find answers to more questions than you can shake a stick at. Even better would of course be to borrow one of each and try them for a couple of days at home (or wherever you're recording). The problem with this "which mic is best" question is that it all boils down to personal preferences and compatibility with the rest of your gear.
