Hello,

I'm a new user of CEP 2.55 and have a M Audio USB 1input 1output Audiophile.

I have a recorded 2 guitar tracks, one left, one right. I am now trying to record a 3rd track of my vocals while listening to the guitar track, but continually it seems like when I play it back the vocal track it starts a few moments before the guitar part. Any suggestions?

Oh I should also mention that guitar tracks one and two were recorded at the same time, so the vocal is the only thing I'm adding to the mix. Help!

Another thing, I use a dell Latitude D600 laptop with 256MB of ram and 1.7GHz Pentium 4 chip.

i asked the same question a little while ago. This is a result of something called DRIFT. All I was told to do to correct it was go OPTIONS>SETTINGS>tab MULTITRACK>Check off correct for DRIFT box

hope that helps

PR Louie - and did it work? I haven't had a chance to try it out yet.

yeah it worked man, worked perfectly. I couldnt believe it. The only thing that happens, is that after you press STOP for the recording, a dialog comes up and you watch the progress of it correcting the drift. Depending how fast your processor is, it will vary in speed. It pretty quick though, only a few seconds after each track is recorded. It corrects it pretty perfectly though
