3D Pre CD-Volume 1 - Now Accepting Orders

I think you're refering to the Mackie shootout that I posted a while back. To the best of my knowledge that isn't the same mic pre shootout that Recording Engineer is talking about. It might be, but not that I know of.
 
There's been no official report or opinions given about the preamps by the people who set the test up, except to say there were surprises. A couple of them dropped one 'hint' - the dbx 876 (or is it 786? Makes no difference, it's way beyond my budget) is super. Fuston (the guy who set it up) is leaving it up to you the listener (of the CD he's selling) to decide. Nice.
