The digital multitracker that I am using for recording has a 3 band eq with typical low, mid and high. The mid also has a function to expand the width from 0.5 up to maybe 16. All things considered, should this eq be sufficient to produce good mixes so that all instruments and voices have effective spacing. Just in case this helps, the console I speak of is the Akai DPS16.

Thans graciously for any and all correspondence.

Yo CALL for PHILIP MORRIS:]

In recording dreams, there is NEVER ENOUGH OF ANYTHING: tracks, volume, bass, treble, reverb, balance, etc.

However, as we all do when buying a piece of gear, we try to experiment and get the most out of what's available.

I guess it's like if it costs "MO Money," you get more. But, since I've used a few recorders as I learned, I always tried to get the most out of the gear I could -- that takes a few hours a day, many days per week working on a 166 second song.

So, if you work with your unit, you should get results which mirror the quality of the unit.

Green Hornet :D :p ;)
