I just went on a 3 hour round trip to pick up 3 reels of tape. Call me crazy, but I figure it's better than spending $150 for new tape.
I got all 3 for $25.
1 reel of Sony ULH-11-1100-BL
1 reel of BASF Studio Series 3600 (says formerly LHSuper)
1 reel of BASF LPR 35
All 3 are unused. I'm just hoping there are no SSS issues with any of these. I probably won't use the Sony ULH as it is a 1.5 mil tape. Oh yeah, forgot to mention that these are 1/4" tape. I've used my RT-909 with SM911 before and it didn't appear to strain the motors any more than usual, but my machines definitely aren't biased for it.
Now, what to record.....decisions, decisions.....
