People,

How do I get the VST plug-ins from my wave editor (WaveLab) to work in SONAR XL 2.2? WaveLab permits you to use all the DirectX plugs available for SONAR, but I can't seem to find the VST's from WaveLab in SONAR (even with the plug-in manager.)

Is this a registry thing? Or an AUD.INI file setting?

Could use some help.

Thanks much,

mark4man

Well, have you installed VST adapter? Sonar uses VST adapter to access VST plugins, it's different with the plugin manager. Install it, scan your VST directory, and run Sonar. They will appear when you right click on track's effect field.

If memory serves correctly, many of the Wavelab plugins are proprietary and will not show up in Sonar, even with a VST adapter. But, I could be wrong about this ?!?!?!

Remember to give the Wrapper the location of the VST-plugins for Wavelab.

Many of the plugs ins that come with WavLab are proprietary  and won't ever show up in Sonar. They are like the plug-ins that come with Cool Edit (now Audition).

Take Care
