I have been having trouble getting it to work. won't record at a level that I can hear. What software have you used that works well with the 2496, any reccomendations? I have written to the company but am not getting any answers back. thanks.

What are you trying to record? How is it plugged in?

I am recording from a radio through a preamp. with a line out to the line in rca plug. Even when I got a reading on the meters ( in the midiman program) I would get either very low or no sound on the cd. thanks.

Are you using music software like Soundforge, SONAR, Vegas, Nuendo, Cubase....?. I´m almost sure that your soundcard works well with anyone of those.
