Is there a way to have these both running at the same time? I'd love to have 4 inputs.

I've heard of people using multiple cards, and also heard of some people who had problems.

Do you think I'd have any issues?

I'm running XP Pro SP2 if that matters.

Thanks.

If the Emu has s/pdif you should be able to set one of them as the master clock and sync them via a s/pdif cable

Yea both the EMU and the 2496 have SPDIF. So I can hook them up and set the EMU as the master clock in the Delta Control Panel?

I wouldn't get any kind of conflicts or anything in Windows for having 2 sound devices installed?

I got a 1212m and a echo hooked up to my windows machine. They both work fine just not at the same time with each other. In other words I don''t think you can record from both of them at the same time.

you might be able to record them at the same time if your able to set what input you want to come in on. I know on my delta 44 & audiophile, in pro tools, I'm able to pick whats the path etc... i know Sonar, Samplitude, Nuendo 3 do the same thing.

There both M-audio products that allow use of the same drivers.

So Windows won't let 2 different sound drivers run at the same time?

I think Reaper also has the option for multiple devices, or maybe it doesn't. If not, I think Audition 1.5 does, or maybe it doesn't either.

So are you sure that it won't work? :(

You could always try it, from what's its looking at it might not work. I know M-Audio themselves said my config on one of my systems wouldn't work but I tried it myself anyways. Then again I am using identical drivers anyways, even though they show up different.

If it doesn't work you could try installing the asio4all drivers

or run em' in WDM...i think i got sonar to see 2 different cards and work @ the same time. I forget the results i got though.

I might as well give it a try but I doubt it will work.

Thanks for the suggestions though. I'll try the ASIO4All first and then if that doesn't work, WDM.

Hopefully Reaper or Audition will let me record with 2 separate cards, otherwise, I'm SOL. :(
