2488 recording gets 5 Stars Recording Magazine's Reader's Tapes

I am very proud to announce to the forum that a side project of mine is featured this month in Recording Magazine's Reader's Tapes as the Spotlight recording! 5 stars! All was done on my trusty Tascam 2488 MK2. There were considerably more acoustic tracks recorded but pulled out of the mix in the end so the actually finished product doesn't show much recording skills on the surface. But that original programed workstation track was meant to only catch an idea I had and was recorded way to hot for anything useful. Instead of re-recording it, I ran it back through DBX compressor/limiter taming it down to usable db levels. Chopped it to pieces to fit the vocal idea my collaborator had, slapped on some vocals and dinner is served! This would have been thrown out had I ran out of hardrive space! I will never throw anything away again now!
