This is rare piece. The H-1000 plays extremely well. With its extremely low string action and EMG active pickups, its a shredders dream. But its just as good playing country or any other style. The clean tones are fantastic. This is the more desireable H1000. Not many that year came in the "Black Archtop" with the EMG's and the Locking Sperzel Tuners. And it has a story. Rumor is ESP changed the headstock design of the models rather quickly due to the fact they resemble a "Smurf Hat". Some say it resembled something else, which we wont go there today. Because of the unique headstock design, these are some of the most sought after H-1000's. The guitar is in very good condition. It has been played lightly and has great mother of pearl inlay. The black finish does show some light swirl marks when viewed closely. But overall its a nice piece. MSR Price for this model new was $1149 Blue Book has its resell at $600-620. Im listing it at $475 + $50 shipping lower 48 states only. This guitar has been checked and set up to better than factory specs. This guitar plays extremely well. PM Me if interested.
