friends ,

2 easy questions...

1 ) im building a computer for home studio use , and im just curious to know , how important is the computers case in the building process from a structural standpoint rather than how many drive bays it has ? is it really worth the extra money to shell out for a good case or is it whats inside that counts ?

2 ) anyone know any good tutorials on how to make enhanced cd's ? i havent come across anything on the web..

thanks for your help...

ps..im all over this message board...im a posting FREAK !! :D

Make sure it's got a decent power supply. Aging boxes and cheapo boxes are at a disadvantage relative to a new, quality PS.

Hey Eddie,
Go fuck yourself!!! You will never be able to piss off more people than I have!!!
P.S. get the biggest full tower you can... You can always hide your weed in there.

I have found a Full tower to be good for two main reasons.

1. It allows you to add more Hard Drives; you will find yourself needing more and more as time goes by.

2. A larger case will allow more air to flow through your system. Audio editing is very intensive on the hard drive, so they heat up real fast.

What you put in your case is very important too. Try and stick with SCSI Hard Drives and CDR's. They can handle larger amout of data better than the EIDE devices. It is also good to have at least 128MB of RAM and the fastest processor you can afford if you are looking to optimize your speed for processing your audio (.wav, etc.) files.
