2 questions...

First of all, hi there

1st ) When I connect a cable from the line in of my comuter to the line out of my amp, my amp starts doing a huge humming noise. This will happen wether the Pc is turned on or off. Anyone knows why?

2nd) i have a boss Me-30, and I'd like some tips to rogram it to get a good sound when recording direct to my computer. Speciall metal-shredding kind of tone. Can anybody help me on this one?

Sounds possibly like you have a ground loop. Make sure you have all the POWER cables plugged into the same power strip. If you already are and still have the buzz, you may need something like a direct box that's equiped with a ground lift.

I also have the Boss ME-30, and I haven't ever found it to be very good for direct recording. Still, though, I'd try the 'metal' distortion and the compressor. Don't compress too much, just enough to sustain well. And don't scoop your mids too much! Don't turn down the mids on your eq too far beyond -2 or so, or you'll lose the guitar in the mix.
