#2 from Wed. Nite Jam

Wed. Nite Jam is our normal once a week get together to "drink, eat, pick, record, and be merry". I record with 4 or 5 mics thru a little mixer with shitty preamps into my 424mkIII. Put every thing in the "safe zone" and go to it. Big fun. Sometimes it works and sometimes it really sucks, but the fun is still there. This past Wed. nite we had 2 more original members of the Spencer Hill Band, that did the local gig scene here in the 70s and 80s. It's a very rare exception that 5 original members are together all at once. I'm putting these tunz up for everyone to enjoy, laugh, and hope that the fun and fellowship that we have comes thru your speakers. Never mind the starts, the endings, the missed chords, timming changes, and any strange things going on. Just have a few minutes of fun listening.

You may need to adjust volume and bass and stuff like that.

enjoy,

Thanks for sharing. You said "enjoy" and be damned it I didn't.

Peace,
Theron.

Must be nice having a consitent "picking night".

yeah, up until my boy Jim and his wife had a new baby about a month ago it has been, Monday Nite Jam, the Dan Thompson Band, and then Wed. Nite Jam with the blugrass boys. Jim says he's about ready to come back though very soon. he he he he

Wednesday Night Is A Good Thing. :D

Hey, that's a serious harp...

hey Treeline,
I'll be sure to tell Watt you think his harp is serious. I can hear him now, "what does he know". he he he he he
Watt has only been messing with the harp for a couple years. The fiddle is his baby, which you'll soon get to hear. I got some good tape of "Golden Slippers" , "Maiden's Prayer" , and correct me if I'm wrong, "8th of January", or some month. Can't remember. All from last Wed. nite. Oh yeah, and "Salty Dog Blues" with Watt fiddling and doing some over the top vocals. I'm sure it came very late in the evening.

Glad you took a listen,

Cool song!

Has a Country Joe and the Fish kind of feeling, with a little bluegrass thrown in just for class.

Great playing!

Really enjoyed it.

Best to you,
Pete

:) thanks Pete,

Glad you got a listen. There's more coming this week.

"Carolina in the Pines"
From the same jam session I guess - same mix ideas as in the "Level Headed Dancer" thread. 'Cept I hear the roar of someone humping a mic stand in this one. That you, man? :D
