hey!

i'm jonesing for a new 2-channel mic pre to augment what i've got; ie i don't want to get something too similar to what's in the rack as it is:

UA 2-610
RNP
Presonus MP-20
Joe Meek VC1Q

i wanna go solid state, and i've heard & read great things about both of these:

Langevin Dual Vocal Combo (or just the Dual Mono for less dough)
UA 2108 looks to really kick some butt as well, but no EQ

anyone used both of these by any chance?

thanks!

The DVC looks nice!I've never used one through..With what you've got listed...Id be looking/listening at Great River Mp2NV Or perhaps a OSA lunchbox "rig" also..Good luck and happy hunting :)

thanks

thanks for the tip, the great river looks awesome; a bit out of the old wallet range however...

I think you'll find the Langevin DVC will give you years of great service... the compressor is excellent, the eq is often just the right touch for a sound and the mic pre's are certainly very acceptable sounding.

Overall... if it's in your budget, you should do fine with it.

Peace.
