2 603's on Piano, V67 on trumpet

OK...I know this should probably go in the clinic, but I don't think anyone would listen. Here is a straight up classical recording which we don't get too many of around here.

There are 2 603's on a Stienway piano in a recital hall, and a v67 on trumpet. I really think this clip sounds good. I heard a professional recording of this same peice and my results are very similar, though mine has little more 'verb.

I just wanted to post this clip to show how versatile our favorite little budget mics can be. Thanks so much to Harvey and all of you for the heads up on these great mics.

I know the trumpet goes out of tune a bit and stuff, but try to listen to the quality of the recording and and not the playing.

Signal chain is mic -> Aardvark q10 -> cool edit pro 2 - (waves Rverb added)

quality is 24bit - 44.1khz

I used reverb in order to add distance in the sound of both of those instruments. I just don't like the up close and dry sound of either of those instruments. I guess its because I am used to seeing both of them in a recital situation instead of a studio situation. I'll post without reverb if you would like to see the difference.

Absolutely right Mr. Jones. I only panned 80% left and right on the piano.

I am just very surprised at the 603 on the piano. I wouldn't have thought it would turned out that good.

real nice dude! i would pan the piano tracks hard left and right. turn the trumpet down a little and give it a 2-3 db boost @ 4.00khz. real nice!!!!
