Hi everyone,...Ididn't get that far yet but i'm woundering,...what types of cd do I burn to,....the same data cd's you use for a computer or are they the type that say's audio cd on them. I used to own a cd recorder and they would only use the cd's that said audio on them not data. Another question,...if i am mixing all my tracks down to 2 stereo tracks to be able to burn,..will the cdrw's play back on a home system,...also,..do the cdr's play back on a home system or even a car system,...sorry!! but also,...wich cd's do i use for archiveing my music,..storage to save for another time for when i want to put the song back to the original place it was in the 1824 before i burnt an archive cd. So sorry for all the questions but i find this method easier than trying to figure out the manual.. Thank to everyone.

Digital, you ask a lot of questions here but I'll try to help. In a word, regualr CDRs will solve all your problems.

Firstly, the 1824 records onto standard data CDs--not the AUDIO Cds that must be used by commercial home stereo eqipment. But with the built in burner, you can create an audio CD that will play in any stereo system, including your car stereo. Some people attach commercial CD recordable units to their machines, but with those you cannot create archive copies of your song data--only 2 track mixes. But the internal CDRW will do both.

Thanks octoruss,..you were very helpfull.Real quick now,...how would i be able to record or burn to a cd an effect like reverb to the playback of a song from the 1824-cd. Example...10 tracks completed but would like to add an effect to the whole mix on playback and would want to be able to burn that effect with the song to cd. I was told that if the effects are not recorded while recording your tracks, the burner won't pick up the effects but will only pick up the dry tracks with no effects. Please explain and thank you so much for responding to my earlier post. Thank you!!

It all depends on how you record your tracks. If you record the tracks with reverb, then the reverb will be printed to CD. However, with the Roland units, before burning to CD you must create a 2-track mix of your song. This two track master can have any of the FX on it--you simply tell it which track has what effects, then the CDRW creates an audio CD.
