I made this about 1 month ago when I started getting into all this stuff. Its alright I guess. The verse is a little too cliche, but the rest could be developed into somthing decent given the right lyrics. I really like how the solo turned out tho.

Let me know what you think. Especially the solo.

But remember that this is my first songwriting attept ever. Its also the first song Ive ever recorded. AND... the entire thing was recorded using some small mic that is hooked to headphones. It probably costs $2 total.
And I did the whole thing on 1 track and using no compression or anything like that. Just straight recording.

watcha think of it given those circumstances?

Practice your rythm

You need more rythm... You had trouble following the drum!

Other than that it's ok... The drums sounds computerized a bit tought...

My two cents :)

this is the best $2 mic I have ever heard.

Is that a drum machine or a real set? the kick sounds big

I love the fact that you are asking questions, trying to learn.

Is it possible to record on more than one track, like an overdub?

Your on your way. All this on one track! What was your procedure?

Keep picking away at the guitar and use your new found recording prowess to explore any ideas adn inspiration that might pop up.

Peace and learning,

Theron

thanks.

the reason the drums sound computerized is because they were. Its actually the first drum line I had ever written.

I recorded it using one track, the paste feature, and a whole lot of "edit, undo". Thats the reason it doesnt all match up perfect.

I was going for a kind of Mariyln Manson, Orgy, Josh Abraham, INdustrial/techno rock....thing.

oh yeah, can any of you figure out the reverse message at the begining of the track? Its kind of a parody on that kind of stuff.
