HOW CAN I USE MY GUITAR TO TRIGGER THE DEVICES ON REASON PROGRAM? CAN I USE THE MIDI CAPABILITIES ON MY DPS12 AND OZONE TO RECORD AN IF SO, HOW? WHATS A GOOD INEXPENSIVE REC PROGRAM THAT IS REASON COMPATABLE?

i'm no expert on triggering as you want to do it.
you might want to ask users on the powertracks forum at pgmusic.com.
who are doing all sorts of triggering stuff with midi.
also they have a whole number of jazz stuff you might be interested in and jazz programs.

FIRST OF ALL PLEASE STOP SHOUTING! POSTING IN ALL CAPS IS CONSIDERED SHOUTING AND WE HOME RECORDISTS CAN HEAR JUST FINE!

There is a feature built into Reason called 'ReWire'.

I use Tracktion as the ReWire host and record audio tracks into that, then ReWire Reason to take advantage of it's HUGE capabilities and luverly sounds.

Here's a link to Tracktion -

http://www.mackie.com/products/tracktion/

You can download the demo version which is fully functional for two weeks and see if you like it as much as I do. If you do it'll set you back $80 to buy a copy of your own

i use nuendo it allows reason to run using rewire - it all works is easy to use and fully featured.
u have many choices of quality progs. and u can check most of em out online.
