Hi All, I'm cleaning out the garage (em, studio) bit by bit. I have some 1" tape that I want to move.
2 reels of Ampex 456
2 reels of ampex/quantegy 499
5 reels of Scotch 996 on precision reels
1 precision reel without tape.
All are 1", the 996 is likely sticky so the value is in the reels, the 499 should NOT be sticky and the 456 may or may not be sticky. Just have to look up the date codes.
For single reels I'll use a medium flat rate box ($14.00) and for more than one reel I'll see about using media mail and charging actual cost.
the 456 is offered at $45 each, the 499 at $75 each and the 996 with tape for $90 each, the precision reel with out tape for $85.
Of course you can make me an offer - I do not come to the board very often but will try to get in at least once a day for the next few days.
Questions of course are free (attempt at humor).

PS I'll be putting a working but as-is parts/repair Ampex atr700 up onthe PDX craigslist soon, let me know if you are interested. I really dont want to ship that but for the right price I will.
