Ok....
Here is my submission. I hope this isnt cheating but the lyrics were already written and I already had an idea for the music. Recording took about 1.25 hours and here it is. Yes Yes I know the drums are repetitive but I didnt have time to fix it up. 80's style metal in the house!!!

Nice tune!

Good Sounds Too!!!
A short 'verb with some pre-delay on the vox, and I would say you have a near finished tune..

Oh, Some tom fills and cymbals also... Hehe..

Joe

Nice driving drum sound there, Mike-o. Cool artificial harmonic type lead fills, there. They have that "bitchy guitar" sound. Nice rhythms... maybe we should just write lyrics first like you dun... I mean... technically, the record button hasn't yet been pressed... so it's within the rules.

Pretty decent singing for a short time frame... this was fun, wa'nt it?

Chad

I'm baaaaack! That's a drivin sumbitch.:D

I'm into it--its driving real good--the guitars sound good! I concur with wanting some fx on the voice. Of course, theres no reason you can't continue the production. 1.5 got you a great demo--its just a tweak or two from done! Great job! And, an original tune too! Heck, I'd still be figuring out the first two chords and the first line--about 8.5 hours later!

well alright...
thanks guys, I am glad that you guys liked it. It was a fun challenge and I am glad that we were all up for it. Sab, thanks for the pic, but that is an old one and I dont look like that anymore.

Rock On

ha ha ha!!!.

great tune... I love this kind of rock shit... just great..and the gtr pig squeals (that jamal also likes). just glorious.

one note always kicks butt if you play it "right".. with some full production, this tune is there. ..maybe dated, but nevertheless...
I still live in the 80's... great friggin music then.

Nice job!!! I like the guitar work. Sounds great. I like the song too. Good message.

Keep rockin' brutha :D

Mike;

Whoa! Cool song, Bruddah! Great lyrics! You almost have this one in the can.

Love it!!! :D

Keep Rocking for the Rock!

Again let me say thanks to all of you who took the time to listen. I really appreciate it. I am gonna work on this one a little more. I added some light reverb to the vox but it doesnt come thru in the mix so I am gonna redo that. Plus I want to do some work and the drums and bass. Everything was tracked thru the POD XT except for the vox. Hey mix, did the Jack Russell have pups??

Geez!........this doesn't sound like a 90 minute job at all. A very good job here man. It rocks and drives you down the road. Really great!

I think ALL drums are repetitive...LOL. It's their job, right?

I don't know if that's a kick or a tom or whatever, but I love it. Mike, from reading the comments, I expected this to be less well developed, but I don't know what people are talking about with the "needs full production" comments. This is the best thing I've ever heard you produce, and I've listened to every tune you've posted...(I know, I don't always comment :D).

Really slick. I like the direction of your writing...something seems to have given you focus as a writer. I hope it was just an awakening and not getting thrown in prison or anything!!!

Peace,
chris

I think I've written that guitar riff into 100 different songs in my big hair days. yours kicked ass over anything I ever did! nice job.
