I couldn't resist the challenge Vox. :D

But to be honest this was more like 1.6 hours if you count the mix time.

Anyway, kinda Floyd meets Danny Elfman sorta shit came out. Thanks for making us do stuff like this...keeps the mind pushing...

Very very cool...I don't get synth sounds like you do, or I just don't know how to use them when I get them, so I'm too chickenshit to even try anymore.

Listen, when that acoustic starts strumming (on the right, I think), it sounds amazing...PLEEEEAAASSSEE tell me you squashed the living shit out of it to make it sound that smooth.

Nice Tunage...epic. Hell, I knew it'd be over 5 minutes...LOL. We need to have the "3 Minute Recording Blitz" contest...all the music you can record in 3 minutes...I bet your file would still be 12MB. LOL

Thumb pointing towards sky

The choices of sound are inspired... surely the "tritone" has many to choose from, but your choices and the rhythms you dream up are most tasty and orig'nal. The guitar as a companion track worked really well. Great job.

Now, we KNOW you'll go back when the contest's over and add some killer vocals :)

A keeper; something that will become something even greater when the contest finishes.

Wow, that is a cool composition. Very nice sounds and story too it. Well, I like to make up stories in my head when I listen to instrumentals. This one takes place in medieval times. I'm walking around a forest and come to a hill and climb it and when I get to the top I see a land of giant ants and they are building cities even more spectacular as we have now. I walk down towards them and they invite me to stay with them and live with them in their glorious land of good, but I must say no because I have to get back home and be with my family. The last scene is a wide angle shot of the farm home I live in. It slowly zooms in on me sleeping in an old bed next to an open fire. As it zooms close to me, an ant is seen walking around on my face.

yikes, I love this one. Tell me what chris means about "squashing" the guitar, it is truly amazing, the sound you got. I would like to hear this again with more of the acoustic. You rock. Hope your feet thawed.

He may not know...LOL. I was talking about some massive amount of compression on the guitar...with about 90% of the lows removed.

ANSWER ME, TOM.

LOL... only sluice can make a song in a hurry but still find the time to include 45 seconds of near silence for an intro... :D :D :D

this was some seriously weird stuff man... you know how I said earlier that your stuff was weird... yeah... well I was wrong... all that stuff was normal compared to this... :D  :D

seriously though.. very interestin' stuff. I liked those octaves in the intro... (or... that part right after the intro...or... whatever. )

chris... what acoustic???

WATYF

bobbo... I must say... your interpretation somehow managed to be just a shade weirder than the actual song... :p

ya know...I think I might actually like this better than the stuff you mix 15 or 16 times... it is so trippy ..spacy... and I like that. alot. the sound quality is fine, so no need to nit pick about that kind of stuff. mostly your synth, direct in, I presume. is this a good example of triton stuff. I am not that familiar with korg stuff.. Now...if you spent 1.7..what would it be like then... 20 mgs!!

This is really cool... This sounds are great... Acoustic is sweet... I really liked the transitions,,,

You have a nice soundcape going on here.... Awesome!!!!!!

Wow this is fun...

we should do more shit like this. Little assignments and stuff!

There was a lot of stuff I wanted to do with this, but time ran out.

I'm laughing my ass off watching the debate over the acoustic guitar. It could be another thread in itself, it would appear!

:D

it's a synth patch
