Sounds good as usual Greg... but this one seemed a lot more prestine than normal. you got a GREAT tone for those guitars. i thought the voice sat a bit high in the mix, but was captured well... very clear. good song.

there's a lot of sacrafice and discipline when it comes to EQ. you cant really EQ to make everything sound optimal when its solo'd and use the cut EQ method. i sometimes will use a couple of EQ's on some tracks.. like the kick and bass for instance, to make them balance well... i EQ them...

sounds like Muse, pretty cool! overall the mix is pretty muddy, need some smarter EQ

when your on the ride and cymbals it sounds really tinny and high... im guessing you boosted the 5k and up range? i wouldnt do that. everything sounds kind of dull, vocals dont sound too bad.

just finished drywalling the actual studio we are building which will get me out of that basement we are in. Gonna have a nice 12x16 room to mix in pretty soon... just gotta do the mudding/sanding/painting and carpeting.

I didnt treat my room better, i guess i learned my room better... but i think even more so im constantly listening to my mixes in cars/ipods/speakers etc.. and really analyze how they sound. I guess its ear training more than anything.

Very clean Greg! this might just be preference, but the vocals seem a bit dry and a bit small, and the kick doesnt have enough punch. however you nailed an awesome OH sound, very impressed with that, very clean and pristine. also the snare and toms are right on for me. I think the harmony...

My only suggestion is still to bring the volume of the chorus guitars down a couple DB total (depending on how many layers you added). seems to be too much hiss on those guitars aswell.. But another reason why i suggest that, other than them just sounding too loud for my ear, is SOMETHING is...

I really like the band!! but the kick is too clicky for my taste and the snare has a really unnatural sounding attack (as if the EQ were a bit too boosted at the 5kish area)... i dont usually have that opinion on this type of music... and this is the type ofmusic i listen to. i think the guitars...
